The virus is spreading and affecting humans at a rapid pace, beginning in china and its not only affecting tourism but a few other industries across the world.

This had a major impact on the casino industry initially, with Macau casino stocks all falling and expected to drop even more in weeks to come. The poker industry has also been hit due to this. They further added, “The safety of our players and support staff remains our utmost priority. Coupled with our duty to do everything we can in our power to prevent the virus from spreading, we’ve taken the difficult but correct stop of postponing the event with immediate effect.”

An official call will be taken on 10th February by Triton Poker. The postponement has given many live poker operators a lot to think about if it’s even safe to play any sort of live poker in Asia with such a virus outbreak?
