Google Play Extends Real Money Gaming App Permissions In 15 Countries

As per a new policy update as per Google, Android users in 15 different countries will be able to find real money gaming apps on the Play Store from 1st March. Earlier, only U.K., Ireland, France, and Brazil were the only countries to have the real money gaming  apps on Google Play store.

Late Prohibiting Policy For Real Money

Formerly, the Play store has had a clear policy of prohibiting real-money gambling applications to be on their platform but as late as in 2017, they allowed the Android Store to have real-money apps in the aforementioned four countries. Now, it comes as great news for multiple RMG companies that their applications are going to be accessible to people in these 15 counties including the United States.

When The New Policy Effect

The Developer Policy Program draft, which will be taking effect from March 1, will now force Google to pay attention to sports betting, lotteries, daily fantasy sports in Australia. Meanwhile, online casino games, sports betting, government-operated lotteries will come into effect in places like Belgium, Colombia, Canada, Denmark and Finland.

Other countries such as Germany. Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and the United States will also have the new policy implemented. However, independent apps will have to get proper licensing and follow the law under jurisdiction if they want to have their apps on the Playstore!
