When asked about his early poker days, Navkiran said, “My poker journey began in my college days in Manipal with my friends; post lectures we used to play ₹1,000 buy-in poker games daily. I always played it like a sport since it’s a highly competitive game and achieving great scores at that point of time gave me a boost which brought about a sporty spirit inside of me.”
He further added to his journey, providing advice to beginners in the industry, “Discipline towards my game brought consistency, which in turn gets you consecutive wins; plus being over competitive in a game certainly doesn’t help. It makes you egoistic and that’s the worst.”
