PokerBaazi Premier League Day 1 Crosses 2199 Entries

The PokerBaazi Premier League started off on the 7th of August with a bang! The PPL is a marquee poker series featuring massive guarantees and prizes. The Day 1 of PPL received an overwhelming 2199 entries across all 6 tournaments held on the day. 

PPL Monsoon Edition features the largest ever prize-pool for a 10 day online series with guarantees worth INR 7.3 Crore+ across 58 tournaments. Combined with an additional 15 Lakh in leaderboard prizes, PPL Monsoon Edition promises to deliver exciting action and fierce competition throughout the event. 

Results of Day 1 of PPL

PPL #1 5 LAC GTD

The first out of the 6 tournaments was the PPL #1 5 Lac GTD with a buy-in of 1000+100. The tournament received 529 entries (including reentries and rebuys). Gautam ‘M8a7’ Rohilla shipped the first tournament of PPL Monsoon Edition for a payout of INR 1,02,785 with Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni  finishing in second place, receiving a payout of INR 72,050. 

PPL #2 6 LAC GTD PKO 

The second event of the day, PPL #2 3 Lac GTD PKO saw a field of 241 entries  (including reentries and rebuys) for a buy-in of 2000+500+250. The knockout tournament saw Gadadhar ‘gd1921’ Behera finishing in No.1 position for a payout of INR 1,41,180. ‘pratibhsaluja’ finished second and earned himself INR 99,060. 

PPL #3 10 LAC GTD (RE) (8-Max)

The PPL #3 10 LAC GTD (RE) (8-Max) was played out between 387 entries (including reentries and rebuys) with a buy-in of 2500+250 that made the total prize pool of 10 LAC GTD. Ayush ‘Proman502’ Garg was the big winner of INR 2,10,000, who overcame ‘riteshcbec’ in the final heads-up. He earned himself second place for a total of INR 1,47,000.

PPL #4 7-Max DST 20 LAC GTD (RE)

The 20 LAC GTD DST event was the biggest guarantee on offer for Day 1 of the PPL and received a total of 425 entries (including reentries and rebuys). Vishal ‘Vishzz’ Bajaj shipped the massive tournament for INR 4,27,125 and ‘TheRussion06’ secured the runner-up spot for INR 2,99,413.  

PPL#5 6-Max 2 LAC GTD Hold’em Boost (RE)

The 1000+100 buy-in event received the entry of 301 players (including reentries and rebuys) to make a combined prize pool of 3,01,000. Jayjit ‘england’ Ray won the 6-Max 2 LAC GTD event for a payout of INR 66,491 with  ‘Chennaino1’ finishing in second place for INR 46,655. 

PPL#6 10 LAC GTD (RE)

The final event of the day saw the entry of 316 players  (including reentries and rebuys) for a buy-in of 3000+300 combining to make the prize pool of 10 LAC. Akshat ‘takingcuntrol’ Sharma finished in first place taking away INR 2,20,900 and Pranay ‘setmeup’ Chawla won INR 1,55,000 for his runner-up position.
