PPL Day 2: VISHAL BAJAJ wins Mega Stack for ₹2.5L

The PokerBaazi Premier League started off with a bang on the 29th of February with Day 2 living up to its hype given the fact that Day 1 turned out to be a huge success. Day 2 received a total of 3,127 entries, crossing the total number of entries for Day 1.

PPL 2020 features the largest ever prize-pool for a 10 day online series with guarantees worth INR 7.3 Crore+ over 60 tournaments. Combined with an additional 15 Lakh in leaderboard prizes, PPL 2020 promises to be the biggest and most exciting edition yet.


Results of Day 2 of PPL:

  • PPL#7 DST (3 LAC GTD) (RE)

Day 2 kicked off with the 1000+100 buy-in PPL#7 DST (3 LAC GTD) (RE). The tournament saw 386 players battling for the 3 LAC prize pool. Rony ‘bisadip176’ Chowdhary secured 1st position with Shikha ‘queenister’ Mishra finishing in 2nd place and earning themselves INR 81,060 and INR 56,742 respectively. 


  • PPL#8 7-Max Hyper Turbo (2 LAC GTD) WTB (RE)

Rony ‘bisadip176’ Chowdhary was on a roll when he shipped the second event of the day as well. He bested a field of 502 entries to earn himself another 1st place position for INR 48,769. Rugal ‘smikijoejr’ Advani was the runner-up and secured a prize of INR 34,186. 


  • PPL#9 6-Max SuperStack (5 LAC GTD) (5RE)

The SuperStack 5 LAC GTD event received a total of 398 entries. Rajat ‘lungfakeer’ Sharma came out on top by beating Shivam ‘broosky’ Shukla in a head-up battle. Both received INR 1,05,000 and INR 73,500 respectively. 


  • PPL#10 ValueTown (15 LAC GTD) (5RE)

The biggest tournament of the day, the ValueTown 15 LAC GTD saw some brilliant poker being played across all tables with a massive 1,217 entries. Shrinath ‘shrinathgb’ Sudhershan was the recipient of the huge INR 3,07,049 prize for winning the event. Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan finished as the runner-up of the event earning himself INR 2,15,226.


  • PPL#11 6-Max 2 LAC GTD Hold’em Boost (RE) 

A total of 283 entries were received in the 2 LAC GTD Hold’em Boost. Gurpal ‘roothless’ Singh reigned supreme as he took down Vidwath ‘qweasdzxc’ Shetty in a heads-up battle and earned himself INR 62,514. Vidwath received INR 43,865 for his runner-up finish.


  • PPL#12 6-Max MegaStack (10 LAC GTD) (RE) 

The final event of the day was a big MegaStack 10 LAC GTD tournament. Vishal ‘vishzz’ Bajaj and Ankur ‘stonecold’ Sehgal fought through a field of 341 players to face off against each other in a heads-up battle. Bajaj came out on top and received INR  2,50,635, and Ankur Sehgal received INR 1,75,444 for finishing in 2nd place.
