The PokerBaazi Premier League Day 5 kept the trend of great poker play and strategy in stride with the past 5 days of the PPL. A total of more than 2,300 entries registered for the various tournaments making it another fantastic turnout for the PPL.
PPL 2020 features the largest ever prize-pool for a 10 day online series with a guarantee worth INR 7.3 Crore+ over 60 tournaments. Combined with an additional 15 Lakh in leaderboard prizes, PPL 2020 promises to be the biggest and most exciting edition yet.
- PPL#32 (3 LAC GTD) (3RE)
The first event of the day was the 1000+100 buy-in 3 LAC GTD tournament. Anmolraj ‘PINCIOTTI’ Singh Chawla was the big winner of the event after he defeated Deepak ‘deepakchawla87’ Chawla in the final heads-up battle. They both earned INR 71,571 and INR 50,220 respectively.
- PPL#33 6-Max SuperStack (5 LAC GTD) (5RE)
The second event, SuperStack 5 LAC GTD received a total of 399 entries and reentries. Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood continued his fantastic run at this year’s PPL with another 1st place finish, earning him INR 1,05,000. He beat Manoj ‘Manojk786’ Kumar in the final hand. ‘Manoj786’ received INR 73,500 for the runner-up position.
- PPL#28 PLO HighRoller (30 LAC GTD) (5RE)
The big PLO HighRoller 30 LAC GTD received a total of 308 entries. 5 hours of grinding and playing brilliant poker rewarded Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni the title! He won himself INR 6,80,372 after beating Kunal ‘monster’ Agarwal in the heads-up battle who received INR 4,77,400 for finishing in second place.
- PPL#35 The Pride (40 LAC GTD) (RE)
The biggest event of the day, The Pride 40 LAC GTD tournament received a massive total of 959 entries and reentries, attracting some of the best online poker players in the country. We crowned a new champion in Digvijay Singh ‘Ziigmund’ Lamba who received INR 8,25,219 for his 1st place finish by beating Dinesh ‘Daddu26’ Pilkhwal who received INR 5,78,277 for his 2nd place finish.
- PPL#36 6-Max 2 LAC GTD Hold’em Boost (RE)
The 2 LAC GTD Hold’em Boost featured some of the regular PokerBaazi players. It received a total of 294 entries. Devvrat ‘flopCheck’ Arya came out on top to win the title for INR 64,944 by beating Ankit ‘akj290’ Jajodia in the final heads-up battle who earned himself INR 45,570.
- PPL#37 4-Max Hyper Turbo (3 LAC GTD)
The final tournament of the Day 6 was the 4-Max Hyper Turbo 3 LAC GTD. 348 entries battled it out against one another and in the end, Shubham ‘risktakingmachine’ Singh won the 1st prize receiving INR 73,080 by beating Vinayak ‘salmanbhai’ Bajaj in the heads-up battle. Vinayak received INR 51,156 for his second place finish.
Day 6 of the PokerBaazi Premier League received another brilliant turnout, attracting over 2300 entries and we saw some great poker being played across all tables. We move on to Day 7 of the biggest PokerBaazi Premier League in history on which will be played out today starting with the DST 5 LAC GTD.
