Shagun Jain and Rubin Labroo Dominate The Field Of APT Online Series On Day 3

Day 3 of the Asian Poker Tour Online Series India was played out last night. Let’s check out who all made it big last night and earned big payouts after an action-heavy Day 3!

APT#11 (5 Max) Hyper 5 LAC GTD

Day 3 started off with a 5L GTD Hyper event for a buy-in of INR 1,375. The tournament received a total of 423 entries (200 entries+223 re-entries), creating a total prize pool of INR 5,29,000, 54 places paid with a min. cash of INR 2,432. ‘Dilbaghsingh’, became the first player to ship multiple events at the APT Online Series India 2021! Harshit ‘Harshit114’ Sanghi finished the event in second place. At heads up, ‘dilbaghsingh’ was up 6:1 in chips. One minute in, ‘dilbagsingh’ shipped it with K♣ 5♣ full house over A♦ 5♦ on a board K♠ K♦ J♦ 9♣ 9♥.

‘Dilbaghsingh’ earned the first place payout of INR 1,06,278, while Harshit Sanghi had to settle for INR 74,500 for second place

APT#12 (6 Max) Monsterstack 8 LAC GTD

Next up was the 6-Max 8 Lakhs GTD Monsterstack for a buy-in of INR 2,200. The tournament received a total of 465 entries (256 entries+209 re-entries) creating a prize pool of INR 9,30,000! This resulted in 54 places being paid with a min. cash of INR 4,278. Shagun ‘sogani22’ Jain shipped his first ever APT event after beating ‘iamwinner22’ in the final heads-up battle. It was a very short heads-up match between the two. Both players ended the heads-up with a difference of just one big blind. The first heads up hand saw ‘Sogani22’ win the pot to take the lead. Two hands after, ‘Sogani22’ bagged it with A♠ J♦ nut flush against ‘iamwinner22’s’ 3♥ 3♠ lower flush on a board 2♠ 8♠ 10♣ 9♠ 4♠.

APT#13 Sunday Major 30 LAC GTD

The first trophy bearing event of the APT was played out last time with a juicy INR 30 Lakhs guaranteed prize pool. The tournament received a total of 697 entries (364 entries+333 re-entries) creating a prize pool of INR 34,85,000! This resulted in 81 places being paid with a min. cash of INR 8,712. Anonymous player, ‘weedist’ shipped this massive event by beating Devratt ‘flopCheck’ Arya in the final heads-up.

Heads up rushed in with ‘weedist’ up 66 BB to 36 BB. ‘weedist’ went on to win it showing A♥ 5♠ top pair against 7♣ K♥ on a final board of  4♣ 9♠ A♦ 2♠ 7♠. 

‘Weedist’ earned himself a priceless trophy as well as a massive payout of INR 6,43,679 while ‘flopCheck’ had to settle for INR 4,51,307 for second place!

APT#14 Mini Main Event Day 1C 50 LAC GTD

The Mini Main Event Day1C was the final flight for the Mini Main Event and presented a final chance for players to make it to Day 2. The featured tournament received a total of 351 entries at a buy-in of INR 5,500! A total of 40 survivors were able to make it to level 27 and earned their places in the Day2 of the Mini Main Event! Prakash ‘pinnug’ Gupta took the chip lead from Day1C into Day2 of the Mini Main Event with a massive stack of 4.64L chips, followed by Niraj ‘ooltus’ Yadav who finished second in chips with a stack of 3.19L chips.

APT#15 Megastack 10 LAC GTD

The final event of the day was another big one, completing the massive first Sunday of the APT Online Series India 2021. The final event of Day 3 was the Megastack 10 Lakhs GTD event for a buy-in of INR 2,750. The tournament received a total of 481 entries, creating a total prize pool of INR 12,03,000! With 54 places paid and a min. cash of INR 5,531, Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo beat Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja in the final heads-up to ship the event.

‘Kornkid’ took a massive 127 BB to 19 BB chip lead before the heads-up. ‘rocky3705’ managed to trim the gap slightly, doubling up twice but it still wasn’t enough to stop the bulldozing ‘kornkid’. The final hand was  Q♦ 4♥ straight against J♦ 9♠ two pair on a board 10♦ J♦ K♦ 8♠ 9♣.

Rubin Labroo earned himself a payout of INR 2,41,702 for first place and Ashish Ahuja took home INR 1,69,432 for second place!
